The NBA Skills Challenge has been part of NBA All-Star Saturday Night since 2003, and some of the league's best players have taken part in the event.
The format for the Skills Challenge changes often, and in 2025, eight participating players are grouped into teams of two.
Here, we'll look at the odds to win the 2025 NBA Skills Challenge and provide a breakdown of each team.
Team Cavs | +190 |
Team Spurs | +200 |
Team Warriors | +290 |
Team Rooks | +400 |
Team Cavs, made up of forward Evan Mobley and guard Donovan Mitchell, are the +190 favorites to win the Skills Challenge.
Both players have Skills Challenge experience, as Mitchell competed in the 2018 edition and Mobley won the 2022 edition. The two players have great chemistry, proven by their 43-10 record which is the best in the Eastern Conference.
The +200 second-favorite is Team Spurs, which includes veteran star point guard Chris Paul and second-year phenom Victor Wembanyama.
Wemby performed in last season's Skills Challenge but did not win. CP3 has an NBA record five appearances in the event, his most recent being in 2021.
Team Warriors, which consists of Draymond Green and Moses Moody, are third in the betting (+290). They have home-court advantage with All-Star Weekend being held at the Chase Center, but only Green has participated in the event, and that was back in 2016.
Last in the odds is Team Rooks, which includes 2024 first- and second-overall picks Zaccharie Risacher and Alex Sarr, respectively.
As first-year NBA players, neither has participated in a Skills Challenge, but they may be able to develop chemistry as teammates in the Rising Stars game. A team of rookies participated in the 2022 Skills Challenge but lost out to a team of Cavs players.
