The format for the 2025 NBA Skills Challenge has not been officially released, but given how the teams are set up, it is likely to be similar to the 2024 version. Teams earned "challenge points" for winning each event, and the team with the most challenge points won the Skills Challenge.
In 2024, four teams of two players first competed in a team relay, with the first team to complete the course setting the time to beat. The team with the fastest time earned 100 challenge points toward their total for the event.
The second event was team passing, where team members tried to pass as many basketballs as possible into targets within a 30-second time limit. The winning team earned 100 challenge points.
Round three was team shooting, where team members has 60 seconds to make as many shots as possible from five different spots on the court: Two mid-range, one corner three, one top-of-the-key three, and one 30-foot three. The winning team earned 200 challenge points for this event.
