The New York Knicks are resounding -550 favorites to win the series against the Boston Celtics after winning Game 4 on Monday night, taking a 3-1 lead.
Jalen Brunson (39 points, 12 assists) put on a show in the second half as New York erased a 14-point deficit to win Game 4, 121-113, to get within one win of the franchise’s first conference finals appearance since 2000. Mikal Bridges, OG Anunoby and Karl-Anthony Towns each scored 20+ points in the victory.
But the story is all about Jayson Tatum, who suffered a non-contact right leg injury late in the fourth quarter and was taken to the locker room in a wheelchair. The Celtics superstar was putting on an all-time performance (42 points, 8 rebounds, 4 steals, 2 blocks) prior to going down.
It’s unlikely we see Tatum take the court again this series, or this season, which gives the Knicks a massive advantage in Wednesday’s Game 5.
