Play-in chasing Phoenix and San Antonio need to hit the ground running after the All-Star break with a third of the regular season remaining.

The Suns (26-28) are 11th in the Western Conference but have lost ground on the likes of the Warriors and the Kings courtesy of a dismal 1-7 streak going into the break.

The Spurs are 23-29, sat in 12th, and also losing ground in the race for the top 10 after three defeats in the last four.

The stakes couldn't be higher but it's a road trip that Phoenix might just appreciate and they should be taken to cover a 2.5-point spread.

The first thing in their favor is that Spurs' big man Victor Wembanyama is listed as doubtful because of an illness.

The second is that Phoenix are expected to have their previously injured trio of Devin Booker, Grayson Allen and Bradley Beal suited up in Austin.

He's averaging 17.4 points this season but 18.3 over the last 10 and also 18.3 on the road and there is nothing about a Wemby-less San Antonio defense to stop him chalking up over 14.5.

De'Aaron Fox Over 36.5 Points, Assists and Rebounds (-115)

De'Aaron Fox needs to come to San Antonio's rescue if Wemby doesn't suit up, and he has started his new life in Texas with a bang.

He's had over 22 points in four of his five matches since moving from Sacramento, and is averaging 3 rebounds and 7.8 rebounds.

In two games against Phoenix this season - with the Kings - he has averaged 25 points, 8.5 rebounds and 9.0 assists.

Phoenix's defense is ranked 25th in the league so look at Fox going over a pretty modest 36.5 points, assists and rebounds.
