In that matchup, the Thunder trailed by 14 points halfway through the final quarter and rallied to tie the game behind 36 and 27-point efforts from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Jalen Williams, respectively, but their efforts fell just short in what was easily the most disappointing loss of the young season for Oklahoma City.  

As for the hosts, the Spurs currently sit at 12th in the Western Conference with a record of 6-8, but there are clear strides being made by Wembenyama and company. Gregg Popovich's team enters this game following back-to-back defeats against the Mavericks and Lakers.

Oklahoma City has adjusted very well to Chet Holmgren's injury, which will see him sidelined for the foreseeable future. With Wembanyama unlikely to suit up in this one, it's hard to see Oklahoma City's momentum slowing down anytime soon, particularly against an overmatched opponent.
