Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Minnesota Timberwolves Game 4: Picks, Predictions, Odds and Player Props

The Western Conference Finals heads into Game 4 on Monday when the Oklahoma City Thunder visit to the Target Center to face the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Minnesota breathed life into the series with a dominant 143-101 victory at home in Game 3 on Saturday and they will be eager to keep the momentum going.

Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Minnesota Timberwolves Game 4 betting picks and predictions

Oklahoma City Thunder Moneyline (-150)

After two routine wins for the Thunder at the Paycom Center, who, hand on heart, saw Saturday night unfold the way it did?

All the talk as the mighty OKC headed to Minneapolis was of a 4-0 sweep and further confirmation that Shai Gilgeous-Alexander absolutely is the right man to be crowned MVP.

But talk is cheap and the Wolves weren't listening.

Hitting back is one thing, hitting back by simply crushing the Thunder is quite another and suddenly a series that looked dead barely after it had started now has a fascinating feel to it.

And it's all about Game 4. Minnesota has just jumped from one must-win showdown to another. They simply cannot afford to go back to Oklahoma City 3-1 down, and if they do, the series is likely over. Or it should be.

So, having proved to themselves that they can not only live with the No. 1 seed but can also beat them — and beat them well — they should like their chances.

But, pretty much everything went their way in Game 3, and that has not happened often this season for the Wolves. And absolutely nothing went Oklahoma City's way.

OKC is smarting. They are a championship-level team, and they are also a really solid Moneyline price at -150, the type of quote that would have seemed unthinkable at the start of the series.

Let's be clear, OKC has not lost all its talent overnight, and they will hit back from Saturday's 143-101 thrashing.

The Thunder shot just 40.7 percent from the field on Saturday, 31.8 percent from outside the arc, and dragged down just 31 rebounds, 19 fewer than Minnesota. They also had 14 turnovers. It was a wreck at both ends of the court.

Yes, Anthony Edwards delivered and there was an astonishing 66 points off the bench as the Wolves fed off a fabulous atmosphere.

But SGA went quiet, and no one had an effect on the boards. Those are almost rarities and won't happen again. Not in Game 4, at least. This is payback time for the Thunder, so back them on the Moneyline.

Chet Holmgren Over 9.5 assists and rebounds (-120)

You can line up your OKC stars who under-performed on Saturday night and Chet Holmgren was among them.

The giant power forward had just 10 points on 3/7 shooting and did not register a single block.

He only played less than 21 minutes before the white flag went up ahead of a regroup for Game 4.

Holmgren, like Gilgeous-Alexander, Jalen Williams, and everyone else, has to step up. And if Holmgren does, then he should go Over 9.5 assists and rebounds at -120.

He had seven rebounds and three assists in Game 1 when life looked very different, but dropped to five rebounds and two assists in Game 3.

He is averaging 8.8 rebounds through the playoffs and it's unfathomable that he comes up relatively empty for a second night running.

Rudy Gobert Under 16.5 points, assists and rebounds (-120)

Four-time NBA defensive player of the year Rudy Gobert is Minnesota's defensive cornerstone though his figures through the series are hardly jaw-dropping.

Clearly, it's not all about the numbers, but he looked out of sorts in Game 1 with just three rebounds. He was much better in Game 2 with nine, and then dragged down seven in Game 3.

He had been out with a back injury and at 32 isn't the dominant force he once was, though he is still integral to Minnesota's success.

The fact is his points, assists and rebounds totals over the first three games have come in at 6, 15 and 16. The Frenchman looks a safe bet at -120 to combine for Under 16.5 in those categories.
