Golden State Warriors have surged into the top six in the Western Conference after a run of 11 wins in their last 12 games and they will be looking to continue their fine form against the visiting New York Knicks on Saturday.
The Knicks sit in third in the Eastern Conference and there is an outside chance that this game is a Finals Series preview, although the visitors arrive in mixed form with three defeats in their last five and without star guard Jalen Brunson.
The Warriors claimed a 12-point win in New York just 10 days ago and they should be able to make the most of home-court advantage when they face the Knicks again on Saturday.
The Dubs are 20-13 at home for the season but their struggles at the Chase Center largely came earlier in the campaign, and they are 10-3 over their last 13 games at this venue.
This will be the Knicks’ fourth game in a row without Brunson and they have coped well in his absence, with two wins in their last three games.
The Knicks picked up a big win at Sacramento Kings and then edged out the Trail Blazers in Portland in overtime earlier this week, but the in-form Warriors are a step up in class and represent an incredibly tough way to close out a five-game road swing against non-conference rivals.
Golden State claimed a 26-point win over the Kings in their last home game and four of their last five victories at the Chase Center have been by at least 10 points. The Knicks are 4-4 over their last eight on the road and three of their defeats have come by 10 or more points, so Golden State look capable of beating a -7 handicap in the Spread.
Steph Curry is averaging 24.3 points-per-game for Golden State this season and as an outside bet there is a chance he scores at least 33 against the Knicks on Saturday.
Curry had a poor game by his standards in the win over Sacramento last time out, finishing with just 11 points and going 2-6 from three-point range, but when he has put in sub-par showings this season he’s generally bounced back with a big performance.
After his two-point game against Memphis back in December, Curry had 31 points and 10 assists against Minnesota Timberwolves. He shot 2-13 from the field against Indiana later that month and responded with 38 points against the Lakers, while in February he weighed in with a season-high 56 points against Orlando immediately after scoring just 15 against the Hornets.
Curry will have been disappointed by his efforts against the Kings and will want to put that right when facing the Knicks, so at least 34 points for the Dubs talisman has a chance.
New York forward OG Anunoby has been contributing with a few assists recently and over 2.5 looks a total he can pass comfortably against Golden State.
The 27-year-old averages 2.2 per-game for the season but over his six games in March that figure stands at 3.5, and he’s recorded at least three dimes in six of his last eight games - including the defeat to Golden State last week.
