The Cleveland Cavaliers won their eighth straight game after a comeback in their visit to the LA Lakers on Sunday night. Two-time Cav LeBron James fell to his former side, who sit second in the Eastern Conference.

The Cavs stay in LA, with the Clippers their opponents on Monday night. The Clippers lost 110-102 to the Utah Jazz on Sunday, their fifth defeat of the season. Following that loss, the Cavs head into this one as -130 to continue their winning streak.

The Boston Celtics are hoping to keep within touching distance of the Cavs and they head to the Memphis Grizzlies, who have Ja Morant back after injury.

Can the Nets match Luka?

The Brooklyn Nets had a much-needed win against Charlotte on Saturday night, with 27 points from Kevin Durant powering them to a win with Kyrie Irving suspended. The Nets haven't appointed a new coach despite links to Ime Udoka last week while sacking Steve Nash didn’t steady the ship.

The Nets now face a difficult visit to Dallas, with Luka Doncic in flying form for the Mavericks. He’s scored 30 points in all eight games this term, which sees the Mavs head into a tricky clash with a -6.5 handicap on the points spread.

Will Bucks' perfect run fall?

The Milwaukee Bucks have made a perfect 9-0 start to the season, but that run could be in danger on Monday. The Bucks have played seven of their first nine at home, but they head to the Atalanta Hawks next up.

NBA: What's wrong with the LA Lakers?

The Hawks beat the Bucks twice in two competitive preseason clashes in Abu Dhabi, while they’re coming off the back of a 124-121 win over the New Orleans Pelicans. With a solid 6-3 record and three wins from four at home, the +125 Hawks could be a problem for the Bucks.

Problems mounting for Sixers

Their offseason move for PJ Tucker was seen as a game-changer, but the Philadelphia 76ers haven’t hit the ground running. They’ve lost six of their opening 10, with James Harden now out for a month and Joel Embiid still not back to fitness.

The Sixers are in a tough spot on Monday at home to the 7-2 Phoenix Suns, who head to Philly. The Suns sit top of the Western Conference, but this is just their third away trip of the season and with a 1-1 record there’s a bit of hope for the Sixers if Embiid can return.

Revenge on the cards for Bulls

Even without the injured Pascal Siakam, the Toronto Raptors landed a 113-104 win over the Chicago Bulls on Sunday night. The pair meet again in Chicago just over 24 hours later, with the Bulls -170 to win.

The Raptors are weakened without their best player, but they’ve got the defensive structure to keep this tight. The Bulls are out to defend a 3-2 record on home court, but the Raptors are still dangerous on the road with three wins in five trips so far.

Can Jazz complete an impressive LA hat-trick?

The Jazz beat the Lakers 130-116 on Friday night before their win at the Clippers and now they’re on for an LA hat-trick. Despite early predictions of them being one of the worst teams in the league, the Jazz have won eight games and they’re -150 for another win on Monday night.

Towards the bottom of the league, the struggling Houston Rockets meet the Orlando Magic, while the Oklahoma City Thunder head to the Detroit Pistons.

Turnaround for Warriors

It’s been a nightmare start for the Golden State Warriors, who have lost seven of their opening 10 to sit third bottom in the West. They are fresh from a tough road trip which left them on a five-game losing streak, but they’re backed to return to form when they return home to face the Sacramento Kings.

Elsewhere, the Denver Nuggets are expected to win at the San Antonio Spurs, the New York Knicks face the Minnesota Timberwolves, and the Indiana Pacers face the New Orleans Pelicans.
