Indiana Pacers vs. New York Knicks Game 7: Picks, Predictions, Odds and Player Props

A thrilling series all comes down to a Game 7 on Sunday as the Indiana Pacers and New York Knicks go head-to-head to decide who will reach the Eastern Conference Finals, where the Boston Celtics wait with the start of that series set for Tuesday night.

In typical Pacers vs. Knicks fashion, this has been a hard-fought, back-and-forth, somewhat controversial (due to questionable officiating) series.

The home team has won every single game, with New York picking up two wins inside Madison Square Garden before Indiana took two at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. They also traded home blowouts in Game 5 and Game 6.

With Game 7 tipping off at MSG at 3:30 pm ET on Sunday afternoon and televised on ABC, it’s time to break down the betting odds and make our best bets.

Indiana Pacers vs. New York Knicks Game 7 betting picks and predictions

Indiana Pacers +2.0 (-110)

The Pacers have the momentum; the Knicks have the pressure. That combination means there is good value on Indiana as an underdog in Game 7, even on the road.

It is true that the home team has won every game in this series, but that is no grounds for completely discounting Indiana. The visitors arguably should have won Game 1, but lost 121-117 after being victimized by what the NBA later admitted were bad calls, and that was when the Knicks had OG Anunoby and Mitchell Robinson at their disposal.

Anunoby and Robinson have since been sidelined, while Josh Hart is dealing with an oblique injury and looks to be less than 100 percent.

Competitive contests have now really been the story of this series, but now that we have arrived at Game 7 it would only be fitting if the latest chapter of the Pacers-Knicks rivalry ends in thrilling fashion. Getting two points could come in handy if this one does, in fact, go down to the wire.

Over 209.0 Points (-110)

The over/under has plunged to 209.0 after peaking as high as 220.5 for Game 3. It may not look entirely obvious why at first glance, but the reality is that this relatively low total presents a great opportunity to go for an over bet and that is, in fact, the way to play Game 7.

At least 210 points have been scored in every game so far, including 238 in the opener and 251 in Game 2.

For Indiana, Pascal Siakam has scored at least 22 points in three of the last four outings. For New York, a red-hot Jalen Brunson is averaging 31.8 PPG in the series after going for 35.5 in round one against the Philadelphia 76ers.

As mentioned above, the Knicks are without one of their best perimeter defenders in Anunoby and one of their rim protectors in Robinson. Count on the Pacers playing their part in a relatively high-scoring affair.

Tyrese Haliburton Over 18.5 points (-115)

Siakam is the highest-scoring player on Indiana’s roster, but the bottom line is that Haliburton is the face of the franchise.

This is the most important game in the Pacers’ recent history and the onus is on Haliburton to rise to the occasion. The 24-year-old averaged 20.1 PPG during the regular season and is scoring 20.5 PPG in this series against New York.

Those aren’t the only reasons to be enticed by an 18.5 number for Haliburton. He has scored at least 20 points in three of six contests in the East semis, including a respective 34 and 35 in Game 2 and Game 3.

In the first six games Haliburton shot 52.9 percent from the floor and 42.6 percent from three-point range. In a win-or-go-home situation.

Haliburton should be expected to log at least 38 minutes – which was his time on court in Game 3, during which he went for 35 points. With that workload, he should be expected to deliver plenty of points.
