LeBron James

One of the most accomplished athletes in history, LeBron James is the highest earner to ever play in the NBA.

The 19-time All-Star and four-time MVP has earned nearly $500 million via NBA contracts, and is set to earn more than $47 million in 2023/24 and more than $51 million in 2024/25.

Kevin Durant

Kevin Durant has cemented himself as one of the greatest scorers to ever grace an NBA court. Playing for the Oklahoma City Thunder, Golden State Warriors, Brooklyn Nets and Phoenix Suns, Durant has won four scoring titles – the third most in league history.

Durant most recently signed a four-year, $194 million contract in 2019, taking his career earnings to nearly $400 million. By 2025/26, Durant’s total career earnings will be roughly $500 million.

Chris Paul

Paul is one of the longest-tenured players in the NBA and one of the greatest point guards of all-time.

The ‘Point God’ has earned All-NBA honors with four different teams across three decades. 

As of 2023/24, his career earning sit just short of $400 million. CP3 is set to make $30.8 million in 2023/24, his first year with the Golden State Warriors.

Stephen Curry

Curry is the consensus best shooter in NBA history and one of the most successful players of the modern era, having won four championships with the Golden State Warriors.

The two-time MVP has come a long way from making a league average salary when he won his first championship in 2015.

Curry’s career earnings have eclipsed $350 million as of 2023/24, and are expected to reach over $470 million by the 2025/26 season.

Russell Westbrook

Unlike many others on this list, Westbrook is no longer one of the highest-paid NBA players based on annual contract value. He made less than $1 million last season and will make $3.8 million in 2023/24.

The bulk of Westbrook’s career earnings came between 2016 and 2022, when he consistently made more than $30 million per year.

Stephen Curry is the highest-paid player in the 2023/24 season. The Warriors point guard will earn a salary of $51.9 million.

Who is the highest-paid NBA head coach?

San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich is the highest-paid NBA head coach in 2023/24, earning a salary of more than $16 million, according to Sportico.

Recently-hired Detroit Pistons head coach Monty Williams come in as the second highest-paid coach, and will earn just north of $13 million.
