2025 NBA Draft: Number 3 Overall Pick Odds

The 2025 NBA Draft Lottery is now complete, and the Philadelphia 76ers own the No. 3 overall pick.

The 2024/25 campaign was a disaster for Philly. They entered the season with championship aspirations after signing Paul George, but injuries to stars — and poor play when those stars were healthy — led to the team finishing the season 24-58, good for 13th in the Eastern Conference.

Despite the fact that they could use another young talent with George entering his age-35 season and center Joel Embiid having turned 31 in March, there's always a chance that general manager Daryl Morey trades the pick.

Ahead of the 2025 NBA Draft, let's take a look at the odds for the player to be selected with the third pick.

2025 NBA Draft Number 3 Pick Odds

Airious Bailey

Tre Johnson

+450

Khaman Maluach

+1400

Kon Knueppel

+1400

Dylan Harper

VJ Edgecombe (-125) has leapfrogged Airious 'Ace' Bailey (+240) and is now the favorite to be selected with the third-overall pick. The market opened with Bailey the -110 favorite and Edgecombe in second at +175.

Arguably the best athlete in the draft, Edgecombe averaged 15.0 points, 5.6 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 2.1 steals in his one season at Baylor, and he shot 43.6 percent overall and 34.0 percent from beyond the arc. His defensive ability has drawn rave reviews throughout the draft process.

Bailey has long been the consensus No. 3 prospect in the 2025 draft, and the 6-foot-10 wing is regarded as one of the best shot-creators in this draft class. That said, he spends a lot of time in the midrange, was iffy when finishing at the hoop through contact, and shot 34.6 percent from three. Still, he has prototypical athleticism and proved his ability to score by averaging 17.6 points in his lone season at Rutgers.

The third-favorite to be picked third is Texas guard Tre Johnson (+450). Johnson is regarded as one of the best scorers in the draft, as he averaged an SEC-best 19.9 points on 39.7 percent three-point shooting in his one year in college. He's the last player with odds shorter than 14/1 to be picked third.

Former Duke teammates Khaman Maluach and Kon Knueppel are tied at +1400. Maluach, a center, averaged 8.6 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks on 71.2% shooting; sharpshooting wing Knueppel posted 14.4 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.0 steal on 40.6% three-point shooting.

Further back in the betting are Rutgers point guard Dylan Harper (+2500), Maryland center Derik Queen (+5000), and Oklahoma point guard Jeremiah Fears (+8000).
