Denver Nuggets vs. Oklahoma City Thunder: Picks, Predictions, Odds and Player Props

Game one went to the Oklahoma City Thunder and they can go back-to-back in part two of their huge double header against conference rivals the Denver Nuggets.

Denver Nuggets vs. Oklahoma City Thunder betting picks and predictions

Oklahoma City Thunder -9.0 (-110)

The top two teams in the Western Conference met at the Paycom Center on Sunday night and it was Oklahoma City Thunder who romped to a 127-103 win.

Fast forward 24 hours and the same two teams meet again on the same court, begging the question should it be any different this time around.

And the answer looks like it has to be 'no'.

The Nuggets will be smarting after a game which was on a knife-edge for three quarters but a mismatch in the fourth.

It leaves OKC at 53-11 and a win away from clinching their playoff place and Denver on 41-23 and still locked in a tight fight for second place in the Western Conference.

Denver will be keen to bounce back but the sight of Nikola Jokic leaving the court with an ice pack on the elbow he whacked in the first quarter on Sunday, should be enough to convince anyone that the Thunder have pretty much all the cards.

Jokic had a tough time on Sunday. Coming off the back of his incredible 30-20-20 triple-double against Phoenix, he shot only 10-of-23 and was poor from the line, and was definitely frustrated by OKC's seven-footers Chet Holmgren and Isaiah Hartenstein.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, interestingly, also didn't have his finest shooting night - the Canadian MVP-in-waiting was 15-of-32 - but still piled in 40 points as the best team in the conference outlasted the best player in the conference.

And that's the point here. OKC are looking like a team - the contributions off the bench, for example, of the likes of Alex Caruso, Jaylin Williams and Aaron Wiggins are invaluable - whereas Denver don't want to rely on Jokic and second-half fightbacks but too often have to.

Jamal Murray has been on a roll but had a poor game on Sunday, converting just six from 17 from the floor and there was nothing of any substance off the bench.

The spread is set at 9.0 and with Jokic questionable and OKC on a roll, the home team looks good to cover again.

Aaron Wiggins over 18.5 points, assists and rebounds (-115)

Plenty of OKC's support cast have enjoyed starring roles this season and right now it's Aaron Wiggins who is cooking.

This solid and consistent performer is now delivering critical, game-winning contributions, averaging since the start of February 17.7 points per game, 4.9 rebounds and two assists.

He came off the bench for just 18 minutes in the win over Denver on Sunday and dragged down seven rebounds.

Eighteen minutes, incidentally, was the fewest he had played since the end of January and he'll get more time on court against the Nuggets this time with OKC in a tough run of games.

Wiggins is in for 18.5 points, assists and rebounds, a line he has cleared six of the last eight times he has suited up.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Over 39.5 Points & Rebounds (-110)

Gilgeous-Alexander posted 40 points, eight rebounds and five assists in Sunday night's victory over the Nuggets, just another astonishing night's work in the Canadian's stunning season.

The worry for the Nuggets - and everyone else - is that he didn't even have one of his better games, with his three-point radar awry, yet he still put up silly numbers.

And that's every night now. He has scored 51, 41 and 40 in his last three games, is averaging 32.8 points and has the measure of this Denver side.

He is in for 39.5 points and rebounds, the type of target he surpasses without the help of any rebounds, so makes an obvious appeal at -110.
