Who will win the second edition of the NBA Cup in 2024?

The Los Angeles Lakers won the inaugural edition in 2023, but their historic rivals and the reigning NBA champions, the Boston Celtics, are the early favorites to lift the Cup in 2024.

The 2024 NBA Cup semifinals are set. The Oklahoma City Thunder play the Houston Rockets in the West, and the Milwaukee Bucks face the Atlanta Hawks in the East.

Ahead of the semis, the Thunder are the favorites to win the Cup at +110. OKC won three of its four group games and beat the Dallas Mavericks 118-104 in the quarterfinals.

Third in the NBA Cup outright market is the Houston Rockets at +450. Houston has a well-rounded team that ranks third in the NBA in defensive rating, and they held the Golden State Warriors to just 90 points in the quarterfinals.

Center Alperen Sengun is Houston's leading scorer in the Cup with 20.4 points per game along with 9.4 rebounds, 7.0 assists, 2.0 steals and 1.0 block.

The team with the longest odds to win the Cup is the Atlanta Hawks at +500. Quin Snyder's team kicked off group play with a win over the reigning NBA Champion Boston Celtics, and they pulled away late to beat the New York Knicks 108-100 in the quarterfinals.

Hawks forward Dyson Daniels leads all players with 3.8 steals per Cup game, and guard Trae Young is averaging 21.5 points and 11.0 assists in the tournament.
