The NBA 3-Point Contest is usually the penultimate event of All-Star Saturday Night, and a mix of all-time great players and three-point specialists have won the event.
In the 2025 edition, two past winners - Milwaukee Bucks point guard Damian Lillard and Golden State Warriors shooting guard Buddy Hield - will participate.
They'll compete against New York Knicks point guard Jalen Brunson, Detroit Pistons guard Cade Cunningham, Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Darius Garland, Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro, Brooklyn Nets guard Cam Johnson, and Los Angeles Clippers shooting guard Norman Powell.
Here, we have the latest odds to win the 2025 edition of the NBA 3-Point Contest.
Damian Lillard | +325 |
Buddy Hield | +475 |
Darius Garland | +500 |
Norman Powell | +600 |
Tyler Herro | +700 |
Cameron Johnson | +750 |
Jalen Brunson | +800 |
Cade Cunningham | +1100 |
Damian Lillard, the winner of the last two NBA 3-Point Contests, is the +325 favorite to win his third in a row. Dame would become the third player with three consecutive contest victories after Larry Bird won the first three (1986-1988) and Craig Hodges won the fourth, fifth and sixth editions (1990-1992).
Through 44 games played this season, Lillard is shooting 38.2 percent on 9.1 attempts per game, about one percent above his career average of 37.1 percent from beyond the arc.
Buddy Hield, the winner of the 2020 3-Point Contest, is second-favorite at +475. He's making threes at the second-lowest single-season percentage of his career (37.0 percent), but he has a career three-point percentage of 39.8 from 7.6 attempts on average.
Considering the high volume (for reference, all-time three-point percentage leader Steve Kerr shot 45.4 percent on just 1.8 three-point attempts per game for his career), Hield is certainly one of the best shooters of all time.
Darius Garland (+500) and Norman Powell (+600) come in at third and fourth in the betting.
Garland has been a key player for one of the NBA's best teams this season, the Cleveland Cavaliers, and he's seventh in the NBA in three-point percentage as he's shot 43.8 percent from beyond the arc on 8.3 attempts per game.
Powell is playing the best basketball of his career as a starter for the Clippers, and he's shooting 42.9 percent from three on 7.9 attempts per game. It's the highest volume of threes he has shot per game in his 10-year career, and he's making them at the second-highest single-season percentage in his career so far.
Tyler Herro is next at +700. The Miami Heat guard is shooting 38.8 percent from deep on a career-high 9.7 attempts per game, and he has had a three-point percentage between 36.0 and 40.0 percent in all six of his NBA seasons.
Cam Johnson (+750), Jalen Brunson (+800) and Cade Cunningham (+1`00) are the players with the longest odds to win the 3-Point Contest. Brunson is shooting 39.8 percent from deep on 5.9 attempts, Johnson is shooting 41.7 percent on 7.6 attempts, and Cunningham is shooting 35.2 percent on 6.4 attempts per game.
