One of the great American traditions, the Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest, returns on July 4th and the world's best female competitive eaters will battle to win the sport's most prestigious event.
Only three women have won the event since the women's contest was introduced in 2011, and two of the past winners are slated to compete in the 2024 version.
Miki Sudo, who holds the women's records for most contest wins with nine and most hot dogs consumed in a contest with 48.5, is the favorite to win her third Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest in a row.

Michelle Lesco | +2500 |
Any Other Contestant | +4000 |
Miki Sudo, who won the 2023 Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Women's Contest by a margin of six hot dogs, is the heavy favorite entering the 2024 edition.
Sudo is ranked third in the Major League Eating Eater Rankings, and she has set records by crushing foods including kimchi, corn dogs, ice cream, pork buns and more. Plus, she's married to fellow competitive eater Nick Wehry, the third-favorite on the men's side of the 2024 Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest.
Mayoi Ebihara is second in the odds, and she's ranked 14th in MLE's rankings. Outside of hot dog eating, she has housed 220 pieces of sushi and 15.5 pounds of curry in previous competitions.
Ebihara finished second in the 2023 contest with 33.5 hot dogs put away, making her one of the two eaters on the women's side to consume more than 30 last year.
Third in the market is Michelle Lesco, who is MLE's 10th ranked eater, but she finished second with 24.25 hot dogs eaten in the 2023 contest.
Lesco has a July 4th victory under her belt as she crushed 30.75 hot dogs to win the 2021 contest, but she hasn't consumed more than 30 in a Nathan's contest since then.
