Get all the details for the Sudamericana semifinals match between Montevideo City Torque and Atlético Mineiro, including probable lineups, key stats, kickoff time, and broadcast information.
Montevideo City Torque face a monumental mountain to climb as they host Brazilian powerhouse Atlético Mineiro in the second leg of their Copa Sudamericana semi-final at the Estadio Centenario.
Trailing 3-0 from the opening leg, Marcelo Méndez’s side require a near-flawless attacking performance on home soil to keep their continental dreams alive. While Torque demonstrated their resilience by knocking out Cienciano in the quarter-finals, breaking down an experienced and disciplined Galo backline will demand far sharper finishing.
Atlético Mineiro, meanwhile, arrive in the Uruguayan capital firmly in the driver's seat as they aim to reach the Copa Sudamericana final for the second consecutive year. Eduardo Domínguez’s men enter the tie in fine form, spearheaded by first-leg goalscorers Bernard and Reinier. While the Brazilian giants will likely look to control the tempo and manage their energy, they must guard against complacency to protect their commanding aggregate cushion.
