Valentina Shevchenko vs. Manon Fiorot UFC 315 betting picks and predictions

Manon Fiorot Moneyline (-138)

Our main prediction for the UFC 315 Women's Flyweight title bout between Shevchenko and Fiorot will target Fiorot to win and become the new UFC Women’s Flyweight champion. Fiorot enters this fight with an MMA record of 12-1 and 7-0 in the UFC.

Her most recent fight was a dominant win over Erin Blanchfield back in March 2024, where she won by unanimous decision. Fiorot is known for her elite stand-up ability, averaging 6.26 significant strikes per minute with a striking accuracy of 41 percent. In terms of her defense, Fiorot is absorbing 3.77 strikes per minute and has a striking defense of 68 percent.

Fiorot has also shown the ability to grapple, averaging 1.17 takedowns every 15 minutes. She has a takedown accuracy of 42 percent and a takedown defense of 93 percent.

As for Shevchenko, she enters this fight with an MMA record of 24-4-1 and 13-3-1 in the UFC. She most recently beat Alexa Grasso in September 2024 by unanimous decision to reclaim her UFC Women’s Flyweight title. Shevchenko has solid stand-up ability, averaging 3.16 significant strikes per minute, and has a striking accuracy of 52 percent. Her defense is also solid, absorbing 2.00 strikes per minute with a striking defense of 64 percent.

Her grappling is also a huge part of her fighting style, as she is averaging 2.74 takedowns every 15 minutes. Her takedown accuracy is 64 percent, and she has a takedown defense of 71 percent.

Despite being the one to hold the UFC Women’s Flyweight title, Shevchenko finds herself as the underdog in this title fight. Normally, this would be head scratching, but it makes sense here given how dominant Fiorot has been in the UFC so far.

Fiorot has the clear edge in striking volume, which means she will want to keep this fight standing and use her boxing to damage Shevchenko.

Of course, Shevchenko has the advantage in grappling, especially when it comes to her takedown ability. Despite that, Fiorot has nearly been perfect at defending takedowns and therefore should be able to limit any grappling that Shevchenko tries to force on her.

Despite her most recent win against Grasso to reclaim the UFC Women’s Flyweight title in September 2024, Shevchenko lost to Grasso in March 2023 and fought to a draw with Grasso in September 2023.

Fiorot, on the other hand, has yet to lose in the UFC and has won all of her UFC fights by unanimous decision or KO/TKO. Because of this, backing Fiorot to win at -138 and become the new UFC Women’s Flyweight champion will be our best bet.
