UFC 311 kicks off UFC's 2025 pay-per-view slate and will feature several intriguing fights, one of which is a Light Heavyweight clash between Jiri Prochazka and Jamahal Hill.
UFC 311 is scheduled to get underway on Saturday, January 18th and will be held at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California.
The action will get underway at 6 PM ET with the Early Preliminaries, followed by the Preliminaries at 8 PM ET and then the Main Card at 10 PM ET.
Our article will give you our two best bets for this fight, as well as provide you with the current moneyline odds for Prochazka and Hill.
For our first best bet in the fight between Prochazka and Hill, we will be targeting Hill to win.
Prochazka enters this fight with an MMA record of 30-5-1 and 4-2 in the UFC. He is an excellent striker, averaging 5.38 significant strikes per minute, and has a striking accuracy of 55 percent.
As for this striking defense, Prochazka is absorbing 5.59 strikes and has a striking defense of 59 percent. His grappling is not nearly as strong, averaging just 0.72 takedowns every 15 minutes. He has a takedown accuracy of 60 percent and a takedown defense of 68 percent.
Hill enters this fight with an MMA record of 12-2 and 7-2 in the UFC. Like Prochazka, Hill is also an elite striker, averaging 7.18 significant strikes per minute and he has a striking accuracy of 54 percent.
In terms of his defense, Hill absorbs 3.51 strikes and has a striking defense of 46 percent. Hill has shown no grappling ability, having not landed a takedown in the UFC. That said, he has a takedown defense of 73 percent.
Hill is a small favorite in this fight and looks to be the best betting option. What he lacks in grappling, Hill makes up for with his superior striking and defensive skills.
He is also in slightly better form, going 4-1 in his last five UFC fights, compared to Prochazka, who is 3-2 in his last five bouts.
Given the better striking Hill has shown and because he has been more consistent recently, backing Hill at -125 to win is our best bet.
For our second best bet, we will be focusing on Over 1.5 rounds.
Prochazka has seen four of his last six UFC fights go longer than 1.5 rounds, while Hill has seen two of his last three UFC fights do the same.
Both fighters have also rarely lost by finish, therefore we expect this fight to go at least a few rounds and will be backing Over 1.5 rounds at -150 as our second best bet.
