Everything you need to know about American UFC fighter Holly Holm, including age, height, weight, net worth, record and next fight.
Holm holds a record of 15-6-1 as an MMA fighter.
The 42-year-old has enjoyed an incredible career in the octagon and is also a former multiple-time world champion in boxing.
BoxRec ranks Holm as the 12th greatest female professional boxer of all time, pound for pound, but it is her achievements in the UFC in recent years that have made her the subject of headlines.
The American started her combat career as a kickboxer, with her professional record standing at 14-1-7.
Holm's first breakthrough in combat sports came in boxing, as she held several welterweight titles at once and was named Ring Magazine female Fighter of the Year in 2005 and 2006.
In June 2008, she became the undisputed welterweight champion after beating Mary Jo Sanders on points before they drew their rematch later that year.
In December 2011, she suffered a shock knockout defeat to Anne Sophie Mathis, only to avenge that loss in June 2012.
Before that rematch, Holm had tried her hand at MMA, making her debut in March 2011 at an event organized by her boxing promoter, Lenny Fresquez.
After winning two fights in succession, she made her Bellator MMA debut in February 2013 at Bellator 91.
The bug of the MMA world soon became too much, and she retired as a boxer in May 2013 to fully focus on her aspirations inside the octagon.
After making her first appearance on a Bellator card, Holm fought at Legacy Fighting Championship 21. She won three fights under that banner, including a knockout success over Juliana Werner to win the inaugural Legacy FC Women's Bantamweight Championship.
Dana White and the UFC chiefs soon spotted her and handed her a multi-fight deal with the UFC in July 2014. An injury delayed her debut before she beat Raquel Pennington at UFC 184.
She climbed the rankings again after beating Marion Reneau in July 2015, but her record-breaking win over Ronda Rousey put her on the map as a UFC fighter.
Holm was expected to lose comfortably, but she controlled the fight and defended Rousey's takedowns before stopping her in the second round.
That performance won her "Fight of the Night" and "Performance of the Night" bonuses and the UFC Women's Bantamweight Championship.
Sadly for Holm and her fans, her reign as champion lasted less than six months, as she lost by submission to Miesha Tate in March 2016 at UFC 196. That defeat was the first of three in quick succession, with Valentina Shevchenko and Germaine de Randamie also getting the better of her.
Holm responded by beating Bethe Correia in June 2017 in Singapore, before she lost on points to Cris Cyborg for the UFC Women's Featherweight Championship.
She has since lost her only attempt at winning another world title, losing to Amanda Nunez at UFC 239, but Holm continues to compete and fly the flag for women's sport despite now being in her early 40s.
After nine months outside of the octagon, Holm is expected to return at UFC 300, where she is due to face Kayla Harrison on the preliminary card. The Light Heavyweight Championship bout between champion Alex Pereira and Jamahal Hill is set to headline the event at the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada.
Holm was last in action in July 2023 on a UFC on ESPN card, where she lost via a ninja choke to Mayra Bueno Silva. However, the fight was ruled a no-contest after Silva tested positive for a banned substance.
Holm was born on October 17th, 1981, in Albuquerque, New Mexico and is currently 42 years old.
Holm stands at 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 135lbs. She has competed in both the Bantamweight and Featherweight divisions since entering the UFC.
Holm's Net Worth is estimated to be around $4 million.
