LA Galaxy vs. New England Revolution: Prediction and Best Bets

The MLS is coming to the business end of the season and LA Galaxy need to start winning games if they are to reach the playoffs. They are currently 13th in the Western Conference as they host the New England Revolution in this interconference matchup.

The Revs have impressed this season in their first year under head coach Marko Mitrovic; they currently sit fourth in the Eastern Conference and look set for a playoff spot after some strong performances. They will look to extend their good recent run as they visit LA in what should be an intriguing clash.

LA Galaxy vs. New England Revolution betting picks and predictions

New England Revolution (+125)

After a slow start to the year in which they lost three of their first four games, New England Revolution have been one of the best teams in the East this season, and they should be too strong for LA Galaxy in this game.

The home side have only won one of their last nine games and they have struggled badly to score goals in that run. The Galaxy have only scored seven goals in those nine matches, and that is an issue against a Revolution team who are strong going forward.

The road team have scored seven in their last three matches and have picked up two impressive wins in their last two road games, beating D.C. United 3-0 and winning 3-1 away at Columbus Crew.

With Carles Gil playing at the top of his game and Jack Harrison and Peyton Miller impressing on the wings, it’s hard to see how the Galaxy stop the Revolution simply by outscoring them in this game.

New England were 2-1 winners the last time that they visited Dignity Health Sports Park and they are worth sticking with to win this one too.

Carles Gil to score at any time (+163)

Gil won the MLS MVP back in 2021 and he has been almost at that level this season for the New England Revolution.

The five-time All-Star has 16 goal contributions this season, eight goals and eight assists, and he looks a solid bet to get on the scoresheet once more.

Gil is the Revs’ designated penalty taker so he should get plenty of opportunities to get the better of a Galaxy defense which has looked leaky at times recently.

It’s worth taking Gil to find the net once again.

Jack Harrison to score or assist (+163)

The New England Revolution were missing one piece in their attack this season and they have found it with the arrival of Designated Player signing Jack Harrison.

The former Manchester City man has come directly from Leeds and impressed in the Premier League and Serie A for Fiorentina recently. He has hit the ground running at his new club and has shown how he can be a difference-maker for New England as they aim for postseason success.

Harrison has already registered five assists, including all three in his team’s 3-0 win over D.C. United, and could cause plenty of problems for this LA Galaxy team.

Take Harrison to add to his strong start to life back in the MLS with either a goal or an assist in this clash.
