2023 MLB Draft first overall pick Paul Skenes will make his major league debut on Saturday for the Pittsburgh Pirates.
And the flamethrowing right-hander is already among the favorites to win NL Rookie of the Year at +2000.
Skenes is currently sixth in the betting, but could leap quickly depending on how he performs. Cubs pitcher Shota Imanaga (+200) and Dodgers pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto (+350) are currently the top-two favorites to win NL ROY.
The 21-year-old will make his MLB debut on Saturday, May 11 against the Chicago Cubs.
