As for the Cardinals, they are just 3-7 over their last 10 games and have clearly fallen out of the National League Wild Card race at this point. Miller showed flashes of brilliance a season ago, but has really struggled in his first full season at the big league level, having been sent down to the Minor Leagues on more than one occasion.

The hot bats of Los Angeles should take advantage of St. Louis starter Andre Pallante’s recent control issues. The right-hander has walked 14 batters over his last seven appearances, and the disciplined Dodgers lineup is likely to make him pay for any free passes issued in this one. 

Even though St. Louis has found itself mired in a five-game losing streak, the Cardinals’ offense showed signs of life by putting up six runs in Friday’s loss. With the likes of Paul Goldschmidt and Nolan Arenado in the lineup, the Cardinals still have the potential to contribute to a high-scoring affair in what should be a matchup that features plenty of runs on both sides.
