There are 20 rounds in the 2023 MLB Draft.
Day 1 will consist of Rounds 1-2, Day 2 will feature Rounds 3-10 and Day 3 will cover Rounds 11-20.
The MLB Draft uses a lottery to determine the order for the first six picks, a format that was used for the first time in 2023.
The remaining lottery teams will set in reverse order of the teams winning percentage in the 2023 regular season.
Finally, the teams who were not in the lottery will draft in the order that reflects their playoff finish, their revenue sharing status and reverse order of winning percentage.
The Draft order in rounds 2-20 will be based off of reverse winning percentage and playoff finish.
In addition to that, teams who selected players in the 2022 draft that did not sign will receive compensation picks throughout the Draft.
