The No. 12 Michigan Wolverines, the reigning National Champions, will be looking for a statement in-conference win when hosting the Minnesota Golden Gophers on Saturday.
Michigan opted for an even more run-heavy approach this past weekend against the then-No. 11 USC Trojans, starting run-first QB Alex Orji over pocket passer Davis Warren.
It worked, with the Wolverines winning 27-24 to move to 3-1, having beaten Fresno State, lost to new No. 1 Texas, and beaten Arkansas State in their first three games.
On the other side, unranked Minnesota sits at 2-2. They opened their season with a 19-17 loss to North Carolina, bounced back with two shutout wins in a 48-0 win over Rhode Island and a 27-0 win over Nevada, but they fell back to earth with a 31-14 Week 4 loss to Iowa.
Minnesota vs. Michigan will be broadcast on FOX, which can be viewed through linear or cable TV and with live TV streaming apps such as YouTubeTV or FuboTV.
Minnesota vs. Michigan is scheduled to start at 12 PM ET/11 AM CT on Saturday, September 28 with the game taking place at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
