The Minnesota Timberwolves enter the 2024/25 NBA season with something of a new-look roster, and they are among the favorites to win the NBA Championship.
The T-Wolves traded Karl-Anthony Towns to the New York Knicks for Julius Randle, Donte DiVincenzo and a first-round pick.
That trade means the team is officially going to be built around Anthony Edwards for the foreseeable future.
Edwards posted career highs in points (25.9 per game) and assists (5.1 per game) as he led the T-Wolves to the NBA's joint-second best record and the second seed in the Western Conference.
Minnesota lost to the Dallas Mavericks in five games in the Western Conference Finals, and Towns played poorly in the series with 19.6 points per game on just 37.9 percent shooting while averaging fewer rebounds per game than Edwards.
The Timberwolves now have a core of Edwards, Randle, DiVincenzo, Rudy Gobert, Mike Conley, Naz Reid, Jaden McDaniels, Nickeil Alexander-Walker, and rookies Rob Dillingham and Terrence Shannon Jr.
That's a solid roster, and if the rookies adjust to the NBA quickly, it's a team that could go 10 players deep in the playoffs.
Let's take a look at the odds for the Timberwolves in the 2024/25 NBA season.
