Mike Tyson is +180 to defeat Jake Paul in their long-awaited heavyweight bout on Friday, November 15.
It might seem unfathomable that Tyson, one of the greatest boxers of all time, is an underdog to the former YouTube star who has just 11 professional fights under his belt.
But Paul has proven his ability in the ring and is 31 years younger than Tyson, which is expected to give him a major advantage in the later rounds of Friday’s fight.
Tyson has not fought professionally since June 11, 2005, when he lost to Kevin McBride via retirement. In that fight, Tyson quit the fight between the sixth and seventh rounds despite leading on two judges’ scorecards.
In 19 years since, Tyson has completed just one exhibition fight, a draw against Roy Jones Jr. in November 2020. So, if Tyson is to win on Friday, it would be his first victory in the ring since knocking out Clifford Etienne in February 2003.
In the lead-up to his fight vs. Paul, Tyson has released tons of workout and promotional videos to show fans he is taking the fight seriously.
