Mexico, now less than one year out from hosting the 2026 World Cup, will hope to get its 2025 Gold Cup campaign started with three points against the Dominican Republic.

Since winning the CONCACAF Nations League title in March, Mexico has played just two international friendlies in the leadup to the Gold Cup: a 4-2 loss to Switzerland on June 7 and a 1-0 victory over Turkey on June 10.

For the Dominican Republic, the 2025 Gold Cup marks the first major international tournament in their history.
