The 2025 Sun Belt men’s conference tournament begins on Tuesday, and the bracket will follow a unique format.
All 14 Sun Belt teams qualify for the tournament, but most of them won’t suit up until the later rounds.
Referred to as a “stepladder” system, the top two seeds will receive byes until the tournament semifinals, the third- and fourth-seeds to the quarterfinals, and so on. In total, 10 teams will receive at least one bye, and only the four lowest seeds will play in the first round.
