There were a fair few surprise results in the regional semifinals and finals of the 2025 Men's College Hockey Tournament, and the reigning champion Denver Pioneers have emerged from the chaos as the favorites (+200) to win the National Championship.

Denver took down the top two seeds in its region, No. 2 Providence and No. 1 overall seed Boston College, in its first two tournament games. Defenseman Zeev Buium leads the team with five points in the tournament, having scored in both games played so far.

The Western Michigan Broncos, who face Denver in the national semifinals, are the second-favorites to win it all (+250).

The Broncos have picked up a pair of 2-1 wins in the tournament so far, first beating Minnesota State in double overtime and then beating UMass in regulation. Liam Valente has two goals and an assist, and Grant Slukynsky and Tim Washe provided the game-winning goals in the first and second games, respectively.

Third in the betting are the Boston University Terriers (+260). They earned an at-large bid after falling in the semifinals of the Hockey East Tournament, but they began the national tournament in emphatic fashion.

BU beat Ohio State 8-3 to open the tournament. Cole Hutson led the way with four points, and Cole Eiserman scored two goals including a crafty finish from a tight angle after putting the puck between his legs. In the second round, they beat Cornell 3-2 in overtime thanks to Quinn Hutson's game winner.

Penn State has the longest odds (+400) to win it all, and they meet the Terriers in the semifinals.

This is the program's first national semifinal appearance, and they've done it off the back of a 5-1 tournament-opening win over Maine and a 3-2 overtime win in the second round against UConn. Matt DiMarsico and Dane Dowiak each scored twice against Maine, and DiMarsico potted the overtime winner against UConn.
