Awarded at the conclusion of the national championship game, the honor recognizes the top performer in the men’s college basketball tournament.
With the 2025 edition of the tournament coming down to the wire, let's look at the odds to win this year's Most Outstanding Player Award.

The Florida Gators and Houston Cougars face off in the men’s tournament title game on Monday night, and Gators guard Walter Clayton Jr. (-110) is the favorite to win the Most Outstanding Player Award.
Clayton has dominated in his five tournament games so far, averaging 24.6 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.6 assists while shooting 50.0 percent overall and 48.7 percent from three-point range. He led his team to a 79-73 semifinal win over Auburn with 34 points, four rebounds and two assists while shooting 5/8 from three and 7/7 from the free-throw line.
Second in the market is Cougars guard LJ Cryer (+160), who put in a huge performance to lead his team to a national semifinal win over Duke (26 points, five rebounds, 6/9 three-point shooting).
For the tournament, Cryer is averaging 18.6 points, 3.2 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.2 steals while shooting 45.2 percent from three.
Houston guard Emanuel Sharp is a distant third (+1100) in the market. He’s averaging 13.8 points, 2.0 boards and 1.6 assists while shooting 37.5 percent overall and 35.3 percent from three. He scored 17 points, 16 points, and 16 points in his last three games.
Cougars forward J’Wan Roberts (+1600) is next in the betting and the last player with odds shorter than 20/1. He’s averaging 9.8 points, 7.4 rebounds (3.0 offensive), 2.8 assists and 1.2 steals while shooting 48.9 percent. He has just 10 fouls in five games, and foul trouble has only limited his minutes once in the tournament, when he played 16 minutes against Tennessee in the round of eight.
Gators guard Alijah Martin (+2200) is next odds with tournament averages of 15.2 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.4 assists while shooting 39.1 percent from deep and 48.1 percent overall. He scored 17 points as he shot 6/10 overall and 2/3 from three in the national semifinal win over Auburn.
Further back in the market are Houston guard Milos Uzan (+3300), Florida forward Thomas Haugh (+6500), Florida guard Will Richard (+6500), Florida forward Alex Condon (+15000) and Florida reserve guard Denzel Aberdeen (+20000).
