Masters Par 3 Contest: 2025 schedule, start time, how to watch

A longstanding tradition at The Masters, the Par 3 Contest takes place on the Wednesday preceding the opening round.

2025 will mark the 63rd edition of the Master Par 3 Contest, the first taking place back in 1960 when golfing legend and three-time Masters champion Sam Snead won the inaugural event.

The event allows for players in the Masters field to enjoy a relaxed family day before things get serious on Thursday. Players are joined by their significant others and children as they navigate the nine-hole course.

Each year, the event produces viral clips, whether that be of the players’ children in all-white caddie uniforms or players skipping balls across bodies of water and onto the green.

The 2025 Masters Par 3 Contest will begin at 12 PM ET / 9 AM PT.

How to watch the Masters Par 3 Contest, TV channel and streaming

The 2025 Masters Par 3 Contest will broadcast live on ESPN from 2 PM ET to 4 PM ET.

The entire event, starting at 12 PM ET, can be live streamed on Masters.com and the Masters app with a TV provider login, as well as on ESPN+ and Disney+.

Masters Par 3 Contest course

The Masters Par 3 Contest takes place on a nine-hole, par-27 course in the northeast corner of Augusta National Golf Club. None of the holes used in the actual Masters Tournament are used during the Par 3 Contest.

According to the Masters website, the holes used range from 90 to 155 yards.
