New York Giants rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers is the new favorite to win Offensive Rookie of the Year following his 2 TD performance against the Cleveland Browns.
Nabers is now +230 to win the award, just ahead of Arizona Cardinals WR Marvin Harrison Jr. at +250.
The LSU product showed why New York drafted him at No. 6 overall in the 2024 draft, making several jaw-dropping catches vs. Cleveland including a flying toe-tap in the corner of the end zone for his first touchdown of the afternoon. Earlier on that drive, Nabers jumped over the top of Browns DB Martin Emerson Jr. and ripped the ball away, turning a would-be interception into a 28-yard gain.
On the season, Nabers has 23 receptions (2nd in NFL) for 271 yards (5th in NFL) and 3 TD (t-1st in NFL). He is the first rookie WR ever to record 20+ catches and 3+ TD in his first three career games.
There is a long way to go, but it’s fair to start comparing Nabers to other great rookie skill players in recent years, including 2014 OROY Odell Beckham Jr. and 2018 OROY Saquon Barkley, who both played for the Giants.
