The summer seasons are in full swing in the major League of Legends divisions across the globe and in China's LPL Summer, the action continues on Saturday with a triple-header.
At the moment the LPL Summer is in its regular-season phase, but at the end of the playoffs the overall champions will secure a spot at the prestigious end-of-season League of Legends World Championship.
Looking at the season so far, Bilibili Gaming are in prime position to come out on top, leading the way with ten wins from 11 matches.
However, JD Gaming are hot on their heels, while at the other end of the standings LGD Gaming are in a precarious position with ten defeats to their name.
There are 17 teams in the division with teams playing each other in a single round-robin format.
On Saturday there are three matches taking place with ThunderTalk Gaming first up against Royal Never Give Up before JD Gaming clash with Ultra Prime. In the final match of the day, Edward Gaming are up against Team WE.
What | ThunderTalk Gaming vs Royal Never Give Up |

When | 3AM EST, Saturday July 1, 2023 |
How to watch | Twitch & Youtube |
Odds | ThunderTalk Gaming +350, Royal Never Give Up -600 |
One-way traffic is likely in Saturday's LPL Summer opener, with Royal Never Give Up expected to defeat ThunderTalk Gaming.
In the LPL Spring earlier this year, ThunderTalk Gaming actually finished one place above Royal Never Give Up in the table, but they have failed to repeat that performance this summer.
ThunderTalk are languishing in the lower echelons of the LPL Summer, having lost eight of their ten matches so far this split, and their kill-death ratio is one of the lowest in the division at 0.73.
As for Royal Never Give Up, they are pushing for the playoffs with a 5-5 win-loss record to their name and a much healthier kill-death ratio of 1.2.
With that in mind, rather than simply backing a Royal Never Give Up win, which offers little value, punters should go for RNGU at -8.5 on the kill handicap on map one at -120.
What | JD Gaming vs Ultra Prime |
Where | China |
When | 5AM EST, Saturday July 1, 2023 |
How to watch | Twitch & Youtube |
Odds | JD Gaming -5000, Ultra Prime +1000 |
The prices suggest the second match in the LPL Summer on Saturday will also be heavily one-sided, with JD Gaming highly fancied to see off Ultra Prime.
JD Gaming have long been considered one of the best teams in the world, let alone China, and they showed that earlier this year when they won the Mid-Season Invitational 2023 - the most prestigious League of Legends international event other than Worlds.
After topping the standings in the LPL Spring regular season, they are in contention to do the same in the summer with nine wins from ten matches and they should comfortably dismantle lowly Ultra Prime.
Looking at the kill-death ratios of these sides, JD Gaming's is the best in the division by far at 1.72 this season, whereas Ultra Prime's is 0.78.
There is a serious gulf in quality between these sides and JD Gaming are worth backing at -11.5 on the kill handicap on map one at -120.
What | Edward Gaming vs Team WE |
Where | China |
When | 7AM EST, Saturday July 1, 2023 |
How to watch | Twitch & Youtube |
Odds | Edward Gaming -150, Team WE +110 |
The final game on Saturday looks the most competitive, with Edward Gaming marginal favourites to edge Team WE.
Not a lot separates these sides, with Edward Gaming on a 5-5 win-loss record and Team WE on a 5-3 record, and a match result may not be the way to go.
Instead, punters should look at the total kill count on map one to go over 23.5, which is priced at -120.
Edward Gaming were involved with the game featuring most kills this season in the LPL Summer heading into Friday's matches, with their contest against Invictus Gaming having featured 55 kills in total.
