The Los Angeles Dodgers are +400 favorites to win the 2025 World Series.
For the eighth time in franchise history, the Los Angeles Dodgers are World Series champions, defeating the New York Yankees 4-1 in the 2024 fall classic.
Freddie Freeman – who hit four home runs and 12 RBI in the series – was named World Series MVP.
Considered the title favorites ever since they landed two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani in December 2023, the Dodgers lived up to expectations behind starpower, consistency, and rising to the occasion in October – something many Dodger teams of the past failed to do.
Now, looking ahead to 2025, Los Angeles is the clear favorite to repeat as champions.

The Dodgers will retain – and gain – the services of the soon-to-be National League MVP Ohtani. Not only is the 30-year-old is under contract through the 2033 season, but Ohtani is expected to make his return to pitching in 2025, where he is a Cy Young-caliber talent.
He did not pitch at all in 2024 due to a UCL injury suffered in August 2023, four months before he joined the Dodgers in free agency.
Returning to LA in 2025 alongside Ohtani are Mookie Betts (signed through 2032), Freddie Freeman (2027), Yoshinobu Yamamoto (2035), Will Smith (2033), Tommy Edman (2025), Max Muncy (2025) and more.
Walker Buehler, Jack Flaherty, Kike Hernandez, Teoscar Hernandez and Blake Treinen are among those entering free agency this offseason.
LA will also hope to regain a number of players lost to injury throughout the 2024 season, including pitchers Tyler Glasnow and Clayton Kershaw, among others.
The last team to repeat as World Series champions was the New York Yankees, who won three-straight from 1998 to 2000.
