After a 41-year absence from the Formula One calendar, the teams will head to the Silver City in November for the first-ever race on the brand-new Las Vegas Street Circuit.

Winding its way past landmarks such as Caesars Palace and the Bellagio, the Las Vegas Grand Prix will take place at night on a fast-paced, 6.12km street circuit which incorporates a huge 1.9km flat-out section down the iconic Las Vegas Strip. 

The counter-clockwise circuit boasts 17 corners taken at breakneck velocity, with average speeds expected to be similar to the Autodromo Nazionale Monza, nicknamed Formula One's Temple of Speed. 

The best overtaking opportunity is likely to be the heavy braking zone at the end of the 1.9km straight, turning into a tight left-hander before another short straight down Harmon Avenue.
