Former first-round draft pick and College World Series Most Outstanding Player Kumar Rocker will make his MLB debut on the mound tonight, Thursday, September 12 as the Texas Rangers take on the Seattle Mariners.

Rocker, a former national champion at Vanderbilt, was selected 10th overall in the 2021 MLB Draft by the New York Mets, but was not signed. This allowed Rocker to be selected by another team in the next year’s draft, which he was – third overall by the Texas Rangers.

Now, Rocker, 24, will make his MLB debut after spending the last few seasons in the minors.
