With Philadelphia Eagles starting QB Jalen Hurts still in concussion protocol, backup Kenny Pickett is set to make his first start as an Eagle in Week 17 against the Dallas Cowboys.
In 29 games and 24 starts over the course of his career, Pickett has completed 62.3 percent of his passes for 4,622 yards and a 14-14 TD-INT ratio.
Pickett played most of the Eagles' 36-33 loss to the Washington Commanders in Week 16, the game in which Hurts suffered the injury.
The third-year QB completed 14/24 passes for 143 yards and a 1-1 TD-INT ratio. His TD pass capped his first drive of the game - the Eagles' second - late in the first quarter, but he couldn't lead his team to the end zone again.
Philly has already clinched a playoff spot, and a win here would see the Birds clinch the NFC East and a home game in the first round of the playoffs.
Entering this matchup, Dallas is 7-8 and has allowed the third-most points in the NFL this season (404; 26.9 per game). They have also allowed the 10th-most passing yards and are in the bottom half in passing TDs allowed.
That will be music to Pickett's ears, as will the fact that the Cowboys' bottom-five rush defense is facing Saquon Barkley and the Eagles' league-best rush offense.
Ahead of this matchup between division rivals in the penultimate week of the season, let's look at Pickett's player props, lines and odds.
