The Kansas City Royals and New York Yankees, two teams led by superstar hitters, meet in the ALDS.
This season, the Yankees have been led by the bats of MVP candidate Aaron Judge and offseason addition Juan Soto, who finished first and sixth in WAR league-wide, respectively.
The Royals have been led by Bobby Witt Jr., who finished behind Judge with MLB's second-highest WAR rating.
Both teams have solid starting pitching, which makes this series even more intriguing. The Yankees won the season series 5-2, but both of KC's wins were during Witt's hot streak after the All-Star break.
