The Atlanta Falcons are the favorites to land Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields this offseason
The Bears possess the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft via a trade with the Carolina Panthers ahead of last year’s draft. With Chicago expected to keep that pick and select a quarterback, Fields’ time in the Windy City looks to be up.
Chicago previously traded up to select Fields with the No. 11 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
Let’s take a look at the latest odds for Justin Fields’ next team.

The Arthur Smith regime in Atlanta is over, which means 2023 starting quarterback Desmond Ridder’s time likely is as well.
Ridder started 13 games and threw 12 TD and 12 interceptions in his sophomore season, as the Falcons missed the playoffs with a 7-10 record.
In the right scheme, Fields is one of the NFL’s most dynamic playmakers, and he could excel under new head coach Raheem Morris in ATL.
Another team with a rotating cast of characters at QB, the Steelers went with third-stringer Mason Rudolph in their playoff loss to the Buffalo Bills despite Kenny Pickett being good to go.
An all-time great organization with a highly-respected coach could be a great landing spot for Fields.
Fields’ tenure in Chicago was a weird one.
In his rookie year, Andy Dalton was named starter before Fields was even drafted, which immediately put pressure on all parties involved once the rookie was in town – not an ideal way to start your NFL career.
In Fields’ first full year as the starter, Chicago went a league worst 3-14. But he put up huge numbers - 2242 pass yards, 1143 rush yards and 25 total touchdowns – and finished 9th in MVP voting.
The Ohio St. product didn’t build off those numbers in 2023, and missed four games due to injury as well. Seemingly not enough to retain your job when your team has the No. 1 overall pick lined up and waiting.
