Juan Soto Player Props for Opening Day vs. Houston Astros

Juan Soto signed the most expensive contract in MLB history when he joined the New York Mets this offseason, and he makes his team debut on Opening Day against the Houston Astros on Thursday, March 27th.

The 26-year-old outfielder signed a 15-year, $765 million contract in December. Because he entered MLB at a young age, he hit free agency earlier than most players, driving up the price of his contract since the Mets will have him for what should be all of his prime years.

Soto is one of the rare players in today's MLB who draws more walks than strikeouts, and he pairs his plate discipline with a powerful bat, which has seen him draw comparisons to legendary hitter Ted Williams.

Last season with the New York Yankees, Soto hit 41 home runs with 109 RBI and a .288/.419/.569 slash line while posting a 7.9 WAR rating.

He certainly benefitted from batting next to 2024 AL MVP Aaron Judge in the Yankees lineup, but he joins a more well-rounded lineup in Queens with the likes of Francisco Lindor, Pete Alonso and Mark Vientos around him in the batting order.

Ahead of Soto's first game of many in a Mets uniform, let's look at his player props, lines and odds for Opening Day against the Astros.
