New York Mets slugger Juan Soto is +500 to win National League MVP in the 2025 MLB season.
Soto is currently second-favorite in the betting behind reigning NL MVP Shohei Ohtani (+200).
Soto signed a 15-year, $765 million contract with the Mets on December 11, setting a new record for the largest contract agreement by total value in sports history, surpassing Shohei Ohtani’s 10-year, $700 million deal with the Los Angeles Dodgers signed last offseason.
The 26-year-old is coming off a MVP-caliber season with the New York Yankees, blasting 41 home runs and 109 RBI and leading the Yankees to their first World Series appearance since 2009. He finished third in American League MVP voting behind teammate Aaron Judge and Kansas City Royals shortstop Bobby Witt Jr.
Despite his status one of the top players in the MLB, Soto is yet to win a MVP award in six big league seasons.
The Santo Domingo-born slugger will undoubtedly be the centerpiece of the Mets’ lineup in 2025. New York (+750 to win the World Series) went on a surprise run to reach the National League Championship Series in 2024, losing to the eventual World Series champion Dodgers in six games.
Soto is -110 to hit Over 34.5 Home Runs in 2025, a total he has surpassed in each of his last two seasons, including a career-best 41 bombs in 2024.
Can Soto pick up in Queens where he left off in the Bronx?
