Heavyweight champion Jon Jones returns to the octagon on Saturday night in a long-awaited fight vs. Stipe Miocic.
Jones has held the title since March 2023 and is a -700 favorite to retain it with a win over Miocic.
Widely considered one of the best pound-for-pound mixed martial artists in the world, ‘Bones’ has won 27 of 29 career fights, including 10 by knockout and seven by submission.
His only two non-wins were a no contest (vs. Daniel Cormier) and a loss via disqualification (vs. Matt Hammill) for the illegal use of elbows.
Jones was originally supposed to fight Miocic in November 2023, but the fight was postponed after Jones suffered a torn pectoral tendon.
The fight will mark Jones’ second ever in the heavyweight division. His first, a win that earned him the division’s championship belt, came against Ciryl Gane in March 2023, which is also the last time he fought.
Jones and Miocic are expected to take the octagon in the early hours of Sunday, November 17, although the start time is dependent on the lengths of the fights on the undercard.
