Jesse 'Bam' Rodriguez vs. Pedro Guevara betting picks and predictions

Following an impressive eighth round stoppage against Mexican legend Juan Francisco Estrada in May, Rodriguez (-2000) has emerged as one of the brightest talents in boxing. With his fusion of technical brilliance and brutal punching power, the aptly-named ‘Bam’ is yet to show any real signs of weakness.

Guevara (+950) on the other hand, is a seasoned campaigner who has fought at the top level - with success - for a number of years, having held the WBC light-flyweight title between 2014-2015.

However, the deck is firmly stacked against Guevara against the brilliant super-flyweight champion Rodriguez, and the question on most lips is whether or not he can survive the full twelve rounds, much less actually winning the contest.

Thought a veteran of 47-fights without being stopped, I feel that this weekend will be the first time Guevara fails to see the bell.

Stylistically, he is tailor-made for the multi-faceted Rodriguez and I feel he will be broken down in the second half of the fight, much in the same style as Rodriguez’s crushing wins over the aforementioned Estrada and former IBF flyweight champion Sunny Edwards.

Expect ‘Bam’ to dominate proceedings early on behind his sharp jab, before settling down in the middle rounds and punishing Guevara to the body.

I think this is a fight that is set-up for Rodriguez to look good; and I fully expect him to do so and emerge victorious by KO/TKO in Rounds 7-12 at +100.
