Jaxson Dart: 2025 NFL Draft Odds

The 2025 NFL Draft does not have a deep selection of quarterback prospects, which has made Jaxson Dart, the consensus third-ranked QB who played for Ole Miss, rise up draft boards.

Dart has received a second- or third-round grade from many draft evaluators, but as fans saw when six QBs were drafted in the first half of the first round in 2024, teams will reach if they find a QB they like.

After leading the SEC with a 69.3 completion percentage and 4,279 passing yards in 2024, Dart could find himself in that position. Former Miami QB Cam Ward is the consensus top pick, but Dart's rise has put him in competition with Shedeur Sanders to be the second QB drafted.

With Dart's draft position uncertain amid the countdown to the 2025 draft, let's take a look at the former Ole Miss QB's odds.

Jaxson Dart — Draft Position

Over 24.5

+140

Under 24.5

-170

Dart's draft position line of 24.5 indicates that he could be drafted by a team starving for an answer under center early in the first round, or that that he may not be selected on day one of the draft at all.

The Pittsburgh Steelers — who hold the 21st overall pick — are one of the last teams remaining without a clear answer under center, but they're the only team in the second half of the first round that urgently needs a QB.

The New York Giants, who own the No. 3, No. 34, No. 65, and No. 99 overall picks in the first three rounds, have the shortest odds to draft Dart at +110. Three picks in the second and third rounds could allow them to trade back up, perhaps into the latter stages of the first round, to draft a QB.

Other teams among the favorites to land Dart are the ones most in need of a QB: the New Orleans Saints, Cleveland Browns, and Pittsburgh Steelers.

Jaxson Dart is among the favorites to be drafted ninth overall, and that pick is owned by the New Orleans Saints. The Saints need a QB after news broke that current starter Derek Carr is dealing with a shoulder injury, putting his availability for the 2025 season in question.

Dart is not among the favorites to be selected with any of the top eight picks, but his odds to go third (owned by the New York Giants) or eighth (Carolina Panthers, who could trade) aren't among the longest in those markets, either.

The Raiders could use a long-term solution at QB after Vegas acquired 34-year-old Geno Smith. Plus, the Panthers could trade back with a QB-needy team, such as the New Orleans Saints or Pittsburgh Steelers.

Top Five Pick

Jaxson Dart

+3300

Dart is not among the favorites to be a top-five draft pick, but the market indicates he has an outside chance of being picked that high.

The teams that hold the top five picks are, in order, the Tennessee Titans, Cleveland Browns, New York Giants, New England Patriots and Jacksonville Jaguars.

Top 10 Pick

Jaxson Dart

+375

Dart is one of 15 players with odds of 10/1 or shorter to be a top 10 pick in the draft, indicating how little is known about which direction each team will go after the Tennessee Titans presumably draft Cam Ward first overall.

Half of the teams that hold a pick in the top 10 — the Cleveland Browns, New York Giants, Las Vegas Raiders, New York Jets, and New Orleans Saints — need a QB immediately or will need one in the next couple of seasons, providing a chance for Dart to be drafted early.

First Round Pick

Jaxson Dart

-350

Dart is minus money to be selected in the first round, indicating that oddsmakers think it's likely that a team will reach for a QB similar to what many teams did in the first 12 picks of the 2024 draft.

The former Ole Miss QB has a second-round grade from The Athletic and a second/third-round grade from Pro Football Focus, meaning he could benefit from the number of teams that still need QBs.
