Jake Paul is getting back into the boxing ring this summer, as he has agreed to face Bare Knuckle Fight Club King of Violence champion "Platinum" Mike Perry in Florida.

Paul was originally scheduled to fight Mike Tyson on Saturday, July 20, but Tyson suffered a health issue in the build up to the fight and it was rescheduled for November 15.

Paul decided to challenge himself against a "proven knockout artist" rather than wait until November for the Tyson fight.

Jake Paul has a 9-1 professional boxing record with six knockout wins.

He began his boxing career with a first-round TKO win over internet personality AnEsonGib in January 2020. In November of that year, Paul beat former NBA player Nate Robinson in the second round in a bout where Paul had a four-inch height advantage.

Paul fought three times in 2021, beating Ben Askren via first-round TKO in April before beating Tyron Woodley twice in August and December.

Paul's only fight in 2022 was against Anderson Silva, and Paul won the eight-round fight via unanimous decision. He lost his first fight of 2023 to Tommy Fury - a former Love Island contestant and half-brother of multi-time heavyweight champion Tyson Fury - via split decision.

After the loss to Fury, Paul started a winning streak with a unanimous decision victory over former UFC fighter Nate Diaz. The streak continued with a KO win over Andre August in December 2023 and with his most recent fight, a TKO win in the first round over Ryan Bourland in March 2024.

Mike Perry record

"Platinum" Mike Perry is 5-0 in bare-knuckle boxing, and his three most recent fights were all won via knockout. He has been called the face of bare-knuckle boxing.

His first two wins with BKFC were via decision. He picked up a unanimous decision win and Fight of the Night award in his debut against Julian Lane in February 2022, and he followed that up with a majority decision victory over Michael Page in August 2022.

Perry's first KO win was against former UFC Middleweight champion Luke Rockhold in April 2023, with Perry getting the stoppage in the second round.

He built on that with a win over former UFC Lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez via corner stoppage. This win, which happened in December 2023, earned Perry the symbolic "King of Violence" championship.

Perry's most recent fight was a TKO win over Thiago Alves in April 2024, and Alves retired from combat sports after the fight.
