Week 1 of the 2024 NFL season provides fans with an all-Florida matchup when the Miami Dolphins host the Jacksonville Jaguars.
In addition to the heat that always plays a role with early-season matchups in the Sunshine State, each team has a quarterback with a College Football National Championship pedigree. Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa won it with Alabama in the 2017 season, and Jags QB Trevor Lawrence beat Tua and Alabama for the next season's title.
Plus, both Lawrence and Tagovailoa signed contracts this offseason that see each player making more money this season than two-time league MVP Lamar Jackson.
This Week 1 matchup gives each QB a chance to prove their worth early in the season after the Jags missed last season's playoffs and the Dolphins lost in the first round.
Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Miami Dolphins will be broadcast on CBS, which can be viewed through linear and cable TV and streamed on live TV streaming apps such as YouTubeTV or FuboTV.
Streaming will also be available on NFL+, which requires a paid subscription.
Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Miami Dolphins is scheduled to start at 1 PM ET/10 AM PT on Sunday, September 8 with the game taking place at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.
