The 2025 NBA Finals between the Oklahoma City Thunder and Indiana Pacers are set for the best two words in sports: Game 7.
Both teams have led in what has truly been a back-and-forth series.
In Game 1, Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton continued his playoff heroics, draining a 21-foot jump shot to put Indiana ahead 111-110 with 0.3 seconds remaining in the game. Until that point, OKC had not trailed all night.
Indiana's 15-point comeback victory is tied for the third-biggest in NBA Finals history.
Things went differently in Game 2. OKC raced out to a 59-41 halftime lead and never looked back, winning 123-107. The Pacers never led after the first quarter, lost the rebounding and turnover battles, and saw none of their players score more than 17 points.
Game 3 saw nine lead changes and was tied 15 times. The Thunder built up an early lead until midway through the second quarter, but Bennedict Mathurin dropped 27 points off the bench and Indy won 116-107 to take command of the series.
Game 4 saw the Pacers lead for most of the game, but 15 fourth-quarter points by SGA saw the Thunder come back to seal a 111-104 victory, tying the series at 2-2. And in Game 5, the Thunder led for almost the entire game as Jalen Williams led all players with 40 points, followed by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's 31.
In Game 6, the Thunder got out to an early lead, but Indy took command midway through the first quarter and never looked back, ultimately winning 108-91.
