The Los Angeles Lakers host the Indiana Pacers on Saturday afternoon, but fans will have to wait for newly-acquired superstar guard Luka Doncic to make his debut in purple and gold.
Doncic is working his way back from a calf injury that has kept him out of action since Christmas. In the 22 games he played before suffering the injury, he averaged 28.1 points, 8.3 rebounds, 7.8 assists and 2.0 steals while shooting 46.4 percent overall with the Dallas Mavericks.
The Lakers are 2-0 since the trade that sent Doncic, Maxi Kleber and Markieff Morris to LA in exchange for Anthony Davis, Max Christie and a draft pick.
The Pacers, meanwhile have won four of their last five games heading into back-to-back contests against the Clippers and Lakers on Friday and Saturday.
