The Nittany Lions were idle in Week 4, getting a break after opening the season 3-0 with a 34-12 victory over West Virginia, a 34-27 win over Bowling Green, and a 56-0 shutout against Kent State.
Illinois is 4-0 with a pair of quality wins. They began the season with a 45-0 blowout win over Eastern Illinois, overcame then-No. 19 Kansas 23-17 in Week 2, beat Central Michigan 30-9, and most recently upset then-No. 22 Nebraska in a 31-24 overtime win.
