American tennis player Jessica Pegula will attempt to make her first major semifinal when she takes on World No. 1 Iga Swiatek in the US Open quarterfinals.
Pegula has gotten to the quarterfinals in all four major tournaments since 2021, but she has never made it further than that in those competitions.
Swiatek has won five singles titles in 2024 and is looking to win her second US Open in three years. She'll want to bounce back after she settled for a bronze medal in the Summer Olympics.
Iga Swiatek vs. Jessica Pegula will be broadcast on ESPN, which can be viewed through cable TV and streamed with live TV streaming apps such as YouTubeTV or FuboTV.
The match can also be streamed on ESPN+.
Iga Swiatek vs. Jessica Pegula is scheduled to start during the evening block of matches - which kicks off at 7 PM ET/4 PM PT - on Wednesday, September 4 at Arthur Ashe Stadium in Flushing, New York.
Tournament organizers have yet to announce whether this match or the men's quarterfinal will be played first on Wednesday evening.
